Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based wine from Fritz opens with a blackberry, toasted coconut and red raspberry bouquet with hints of cassis and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, round, juicy and balanced. The flavor profile is similar to the nose. It features a blend of blackberry and toasted coconut with notes of black raspberry. We also detected hints of cola, anise and cedar mixed in. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors are nicely extended. The medium tannins are soft and fine. This wine would pair nicely with an herb and garlic encrusted sirloin strip roast. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our classic Bordeaux-style blend with a new twist - Zinfandel! This wine leads with rich aromas of dried currants, black cherry, and plum. Notes of vanilla and bitter-sweet chocolate round out the well-structured finish of this age-worthy offering.
