Wine Review: This garnet colored Reserve level Pinot Noir from Fritz is impressive. It opens with a black raspberry and mild cola bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very nicely balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty red currant and red raspberry blend with notes of nicely integrated mild minerality, faint oak and cola in the background. I also detected some nice black pepper showing up and sticking around at the very end. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins show very nice length. This Pinot is very good and would be an ideal pairing with Norwegian poached salmon. Enjoy - Ken
