Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir from Fritz opens with a red raspberry and plum bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a spicy red currant with notes of red raspberry and pomegranate. I also detected hints of black pepper, minerality and oak. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This Pinot would pair well with roast pork tenderloin. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Burgundy in color, this wine has intoxicating aromas of black fruit that softly opens up, allowing for hints of baking spices. Our Russian River Pinot is rich in texture with perfectly balanced acidity and firm, bold tannins. Once it hits your palate it expresses flavors of Bing cherry, plum, black currant, and savory spices. The wine finishes elegantly with lingering flavors of cherry and cocoa powder.
