Wine Review: This white gold-colored blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc opens with a pear bouquet with hints of pineapple and green apple. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mineral infused green apple with notes of Anjou pear and a hint of lemon and chamomile tea. The finish is dry and mouthwatering. This wine would pair well with fried seafood. Try it with fried scallops or fried clam strips. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Pomino Bianco 2016 is a clear, straw-yellow wine. To the nose it is intensely flowery with frangipani and jasmine aromas mixed with the fruity notes of apricot and quince. In the glass, the wine also releases exotic scents of tropical fruit and fresh cardamom. When tasted, Pomino Bianco is flavorful and lively, with a balanced structure and persistent finish with a slight aftertaste of ripe raspberries. A fine wine for aperitifs, vegetarian antipasti or fish.
