Wine Review: This yellow colored Chard opens with a mild green apple bouquet with hints of cantaloupe and light lemon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and shows a soft and viscous mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a light lime with notes of integrated minerality. There were also hints of light oak as well. The finish is dry and shows some finesse. This food friendly Chard focuses on the fruit first and therefore is very versatile. I would pair it with grilled halibut or Dover sole. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2007 Chardonnay has a very appealing straw color. The nose reveals aromas of baked apple, ripe banana and lemon oil with a hint of floral notes. This Chardonnay has an exceptional mouth feel with flavors of apple and butterscotch that integrate well with a subtle touch of oak spice. Good balance with crisp and creamy viscosity carries through a long fruitful finish.
