Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa opens with an oak and black currant bouquet with a hint of plum and eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavors profile is a muted black cherry with notes of minerality, plum and lightly toasted oak. Several thought it had layered complexity. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins are forward. The Panel suggested decanting this Cab in the near term and pairing it with braised veal chops or slow cooked brisket. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Opaque, dark ruby color introduces this wine that expresses dark fruit aroma and flavors. With spicy sweet oak complexity, the wine exudes dark fruit such as blackberry, black currant, blueberry and dark cherry. There are nuances of dark chocolate, chocolate berry truffle dusted with cocoa powder, cola, aromatic cedar, cinnamon, clove, graham crackers and a hint of tobacco. The body is very full with a soft entry, coupled with dark cherry/berry flavors that develop from start to finish.
