Wine Review: This almost clear colored Viognier from Napa opens with mild peach like bouquet with a hint of banana. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and chewy. The flavor profile is a mineral infused pear with notes of gentle peach. We also detected hints of white pepper, honey and banana. The finish is dry and tingly acidity lingers. The panel suggested that this Viognier would pair well with stuffed red peppers or roasted quail. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The wine is a fresh greenish straw color. The aroma is lively with floral notes of honey suckle and integrated with fruit notes of peach, lemon curd, orange peel and angel food. There is a toast spice that adds complexity to the 2012 Viognier. With a soft and voluptuous body and texture, this Viognier is seductively pleasant with juicy fruit and peach flavors. The distinctive floral fruit and lingering long finish, underscore the versatility of this variety. While it has broad base appeal as a stand alone glass of wine, it can be paired with many dishes, especially spicy Thai, Indian, Mexican or Asian cuisine.
