Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Viognier was well received by a mini-tasting group that I presented it too. It opens with a mild peach bouquet with a hint of orange. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and a little creamy. The flavor profile is a tasty mild tangerine with a hint of peach and apricot. The finish is dry and friendly. The group thought this Viognier would pair well with roast chicken with garlic. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2009 Viognier is a fresh greenish straw color. The aromas are lively with lemon-lime, white peach, grapefruit, honey suckle, and a hint of clover honey. With a soft and voluptuous body and texture, our Viognier is seductively pleasant with white peach flavors and a hint of Christmas spice. The distinctive fruit and lingering long finish, amplifies the versatility of this variety; while it has broad base appeal as a stand alone glass of wine, it can be paired with many dishes, even standing up to spicy Thai, Indian, Mexican or Asian cuisine.
