Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Cabernet from Napa opens with an inviting ripe black cherry bouquet with a hint of menthol. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty plum and blueberry blend with nicely integrated minerality and old oak. I also detected some black cherry folded in as well. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are nicely prolonged and linger. This really tasty Cab would pair well with Theresa's meatloaf. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This Cabernet is opaque with a dark ruby-garnet color, complimentary to the rich dark aroma and flavor. The aromas of black currant, black cherry, berry and Santa Rosa plum are intertwined with the spicy sweetness of oak, cedar, cinnamon, clove and toast. The entry is soft, with dark cherry/berry flavors that develop from start to finish. With great texture and mouth feel, this Cabernet is full bodied, rich and opulent.
