Wine Review: This ruby red colored Pinot Noir opens with a fragrant black raspberry and ripe Bing cherry bouquet with hints of cedar and wild strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and fresh. The flavor profile is a blackberry, clove, and mild black plum blend with notes of cedar and tart wild strawberry. I also detected some hints of stony minerality and a bit of pomegranate in the aftertaste. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins and a touch of heat lingers. I would decant this very flavorful Pinot before pairing it with duck cassoulet toast. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Rich yet balanced, the 2021 Carneros Pinot Noir begins with aromas of warm baked cherries, cinnamon, and pomegranate. The wine bursts with flavor on the palate, layered in delightful acidity and soft tannins, as notes of strawberry jam and toasted rosemary harmonize into a long finish.
