Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir opens with a red currant and red raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a red raspberry and strawberry blend. I also detected hints of old vanilla oak and craisin. The finish is dry and its fades away nicely. This Pinot would pair well with a tangy pulled pork sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Frank Family Vineyards 2012 Carneros Pinot Noir has a bright ruby core and opens with aromas of black cherries, raspberry and spice. As the wine opens, floral notes reminiscent of hibiscus flower and potpourri blossom in the glass. The palate is fleshy, loaded with fresh berry flavors and lush savory notes that lead to roasted chestnuts and toffee flavors. The tannins are refined and provide elegance and structure.
