Wine Review: This opaque and very dark violet colored Cabernet from Napa opens with an inviting mild boysenberry and black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a black currant and ripe blackberry blend with notes of cedar, minerality and pomegranate. The finish is dry and its flavors and fruit flavors fade away nicely. This Cab would pair well with pork tenderloin with plum chutney. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The gorgeous dark and dense magenta hues give sense to this wine’s concentration and power. The bouquet is loaded with intense aromas of cassis, hints of dry mission figs, and ripe plum compote that melange in harmony, enhanced by cedar and leather scents. The palate is lush with savory dark fruit and a hint of sweet oak and black pepper. The wine is well structured with soft tannins that envelop the palate.
