Wine Review: This dark ruby colored wine opens with smoky plum and blackberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and very smooth with just a touch of elevated acidity. The flavor profile is a slightly tart black currant with notes of oak and tobacco. There is also a bit of black licorice and clove spice mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its flavors subtly slip away in front of very mild tannins and a touch of minerality that shows up in the aftertaste. I would suggest pairing it with beef bourguignon. Enjoy - Ken
