Wine Review: This dark red colored Rosso di Montalcino from Franco Pacenti opens with a black cherry and light oak bouquet with hints of loam. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, very zesty, and bright. The flavor profile is graphite and tart red cherry blend with notes of oak and red currant. I also detected some hints of oolong tea and walnuts. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate dusty tannins stick around for a very long time. I would let this wine breathe for a bit, as it improved with some aeration. Then I would pair this Rosso with Italian briciole. Enjoy - Ken
