Wine Review: This straw-colored Chardonnay is a very enjoyable light bodied offering from the Finger Lakes. It opens with a fruity bouquet that includes apricot, pineapple, vanilla oak and hints of tangerine. The palate is fruity, crisp, mild and refreshing. It displays flavors of pineapple, lemon drop, peach pit, light green apple and a touch of butter and oak. I enjoyed the pleasant all-around balance and acidity of this wine. The finish is slightly dry and there are notes of honey that appear and linger. This easy-going Chard would be a good summer sipper to be served slightly chilled. It is a good option to break away from the Sauvignon Blancs and Roses. If I was to pair it with food, I would recommend a mild cheese and your favorite crackers. - Joe
