Wine Review: This dark ruby red blend from the Finger Lakes opens with a black raspberry and musty oak like bouquet with a hint of leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy going. The flavor profile is a pleasant black cherry with notes of oak and a touch of blueberry towards the end. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are well managed and gentle. While not a complex wine, this wine has a lot going for it and is food friendly. I would pair this wine with your favorite gourmet brick oven pizza or meat lasagna. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Leather, blackcurrants, anise, black pepper, blackberry jam, nutmeg and cedar all vie for attention in the nose. This wine displays a rich and soft mouthfeel and balanced tannins. Look for an intriguing smokiness on the finish.
