Wine Review: This dark red colored Zin was very popular at a charity tasting we were hosting. It opens with a very fragrant strawberry rhubarb bouquet with hints of nutmeg and vanilla. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very well balanced, juicy, and savory. The flavor profile is a very tasty red currant with hints of black raspberry and a touch of black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins stick around nicely. This wine was so popular that tasters were hoarding the bottles at their tables so they would be sure to get a second glass. Pair this gem with barbecue steak tips. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: From the Dusi and Preston Zin vineyards, with their rocky, calcareous soils, and low yielding vines that produce fruit of intense concentration. A splash of Mourvedre lends an extra kick in the mid-palate. The Biker has blackberry, anise, spice, and vanilla on the nose. Rich, black fruit and spice, long in the mouth lingering to a silky vanilla oak finish. Biker rocks!
