Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Syrah from Santa Barbara opens with a mild boysenberry and old oak bouquet with hints of nutmeg. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and shows gentle acidity. The flavor profile is a mild blend of spicy black raspberry and black licorice. We also detected a little cherry and menthol mixed in. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger slightly. The panel felt this Syrah would appeal to Pinot lovers and they would pair it with pork tenderloin. Enjoy - KWGTP
