Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zin opens with a fragrant raspberry and cherry vanilla bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a very tasty black raspberry with hints of boysenberry and black pepper. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins linger nicely. This wine would pair well with pulled pork sandwiches. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Devious mischief abounds from these dry-farmed, head pruned, old vine vineyards in the Shenendoah Valley. This Sierra Foothill Valley is renowned for its old vine Zin vineyards which produce a wine that is chewy and spicy, rich with blackberry fruit and a hint of velvet vanilla oak. Blended with a touch of Syrah from the Bailey Vineyard. Maverick...The Jam Bomb...mischievous fun!
