Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Foretell is Excellent! It opens with a faint blueberry, cherry and mild oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, rich, acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a very tasty and complex blend of plum and ripe black raspberry with notes of nicely integrated gentle oak and minerality. I also detected a hint of blueberry and black pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. This Pinot is very food friendly and will be a huge hit with your friends. Serve it with beef tartare. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Black Cherry, Sasaparilla root, caramel, allspice, boysenberry and red licorice aromas swirl out of the glass. The soft bright fruit greets you elegantly on the palate with incredible viscosity and glycerol maintaining a deft balance. The 2012 Foretell Pinot Noir is showing its richness now and is perfect for enjoying with aged goat cheese or duck confit. It will continue to age gracefully with the intense fruit enduring for at least another 8-10 years when the roundness and viscosity will be at its peak.
