Wine Review: This Petite Sirah was wine that the panel thought they could serve as an reasonably priced every day offering for those who enjoy this grape. It is opaque and dark purple colored. It opens with a mild red cherry bouquet with a hint of blackberry. On the palate, it is medium bodied, balanced, and soft. The flavor profile is a gentle blueberry and tart plum blend with a touch of cedar. The finish is very dry and its tannins are sticky and nicely prolonged. The panel suggested pairing this friendly, but not overly complex wine with sizzlin steak fajitas, a grilled burgers and eggplant parmigianna. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: On the nose, blueberries and dark chocolate are the predominant aromatics with a touch of floral and spice. Flavors of blueberry, blackberry and black cherry commingle with hints of graham cracker and vanilla and a touch of white pepper. The well structured tannins produce a long silky finish with fruit to the end.
