Wine Review: Theresa loved this light yellow colored Chardonnay. As a matter of fact, we have loved the Fogdog for that last several vintages. It opens with a fragrant lemon and vanilla oak bouquet. On the palate, this Chard is medium bodied, slightly acidic, lively and very flavorful. The flavor profile is ripe lemon with notes of nicely integrated oak. There were also hints of green apple detected as well. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. This flavorful Chard would pair well with spinach tortellini alfredo. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2009 Fogdog Chardonnay boasts an abundance of flintiness and aromas of apple, pear, almonds, citrus and stone fruits. This wine is full-bodied, yet elegant and restrained, with a core of acidity and minerality that is balanced by warm flavors of pear tart and almond crisp along with notes of lemon and tangerine zest. Subtle oak influences of toasted nuts and vanilla round out the experience while balancing the fruit.
