Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir from Flowers opens with a mild red cherry bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very smooth, balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a mild strawberry licorice with notes of cherry-cola. I also detected hints of faint raspberry and oak in the background. The finish is dry and refined. While not overly complex, this Pinot is really food friendly and quaffable. I would serve it with grilled salmon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby color. Aromas of wild strawberries, cranberries, savory dried herbs and forest floor lift elegantly from the glass. On the palate, flavors of Bing cherry, raspberry, and pomegranate are framed by fine-grained tannins, coastal minerality and bright acidity that culminate on the lengthy finish.
