Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Flanagan opens with a banana, Anjou pear, and green apple bouquet. with hints of gravel, mild pineapple, and mandarin. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and elegant. The flavor profile is a unique lime and mandarin blend with notes of cashew, lemongrass, and chalky minerality. We also detected hints of pear, saline, and mild oak. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this food friendly Chard with a Savoury Lane’s five fruit chicken, pasta primavera or a spring vegetable risotto. Enjoy – KWGTP
