Wine Review: This hazy and deep gold colored Chardonnay opens with a butter, oak, and golden delicious apple bouquet with hints of baked pineapple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, smooth and soft. The flavor profile is an oak influenced pineapple and pear blend with notes of butterscotch. We also detected hints of Fuji apple, minerality, and baking spices. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. The Panel would pair this Chard with a chicken and wild mushroom ravioli in a butter and light cream sauce or with sautéed scallops. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2019 Ritchie Chardonnay has a very expressive nose of jasmine, limestone, and honeysuckle. The palate is rich but with good acidity and tension. Notes of fresh honeydew melon, lemon curd, and toasted brioche combine to create beautiful, complex Chardonnay. The oak is nicely integrated and the minerality provides a lovely lift. This wine will age beautifully for years.
