Wine Review: This pale ruby colored rich-styled Pinot Noir from Flanagan opens with a very fragrant black raspberry, cranberry and stewed plum bouquet with hints of flinty stone and tobacco leaf. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, round and very fruit forward. The flavor profile is a stewed red plum, lingonberry, and cola. I also detected notes of strawberry, tart red currant, gentle graphite and oak. The finish is dry and its flavors and tingly acidity linger for quite some time for a Pinot. This Pinot would pair well with Peking duck or short ribs with mushrooms and bacon lardons. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2018 Flanagan Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast offers an expressive nose of Rose Petals and Orange Blossom. On the palate the wine has very fine tannins, great acidity, and displays flavors of red plum skin and Rainier Cherry. This Pinot Noir is delightful to drink on its own but also excellent with a meal.
