Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir opens with a mild craisin and faint pomegranate bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, refined and smooth. The flavor profile is pomegranate and red plum blend with notes of graphite and gentle oak. I also detected hints of cinnamon and savory herbs. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Pinot would pair well with Italian dishes like a chicken, sausages and shrimp pasta dish or chicken parmigiana. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2017 Flanagan Pinot Noir Gap's View Vineyard displays the characteristic black fruit profile of the site. The nose has notes of soy, forest floor, and black truffle. The palate reveals ripe black plum, black raspberry, and orange peel, a silky texture and a long finish. The wine is very pretty, nicely focused, and finishes with good acidity. Gap's View pairs well with heartier dishes including a nice medium rare bone in New York strip steak.
