Wine Review: It is not often I get to try 15 year old wines. They usually do not last that long in my cellar. However, I had the luxury of trying this gem recently at Grill 23 in Boston. This very dark ruby colored wine opens with an attractive and fragrant black licorice bouquet with a hint of barnyard scents. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, extremely well balanced, and so smooth. The flavor profile is delicious mild sour black cherry and gentle strawberry. I honestly could not stop drinking this wine. It was mesmerizing. The finish is dry and it drifts away nicely. This wine was an absolute winner and you should seek it out the next time you are at Grill 23 in Boston. It was perfect with my Delmonico steak. Enjoy - Ken
