Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Mencia opens with black cherry and dark chocolate like bouquet with faint hints of new leather and oak in the background. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, smooth and coats your entire mouth. The flavor profile is a tasty mild red raspberry with hints of pomegranate, strawberry and a touch of faint oak towards the end. This Mencia is food friendly and would pair well with chicken and shrimp paella. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Classic Mencía in sleek vibrant style. Blueberry and strawberry fruits show with transparency the mineralic dust of iron rich slate soils. A distinctive early release Ribeira Sacra from a ripe vintage.
