Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from the Fiddlestix Vineyard is very good. It open with a mulberry bouquet with a hint of cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty plum with notes of gentle minerality and boysenberry. I also detected hints of cherry-cola and cinnamon. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This 2013 Pinot while just released, is showing wonderfully right now. I would pair it with duck confit fried spring rolls. (SIP Certified) Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Tart black cherry and peppery cola spice aromatics intertwine with dried pomegranate and muddled blueberries. A vanilla-accented finish with fine tannins and black fruit flavors present this wine with both elegance and strength.
