Wine Review: This pale straw colored Viognier from Fess Parker was well received by the Tasting Panel. It opens with a musty pineapple, nutmeg and ginger bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic, warm and juicy. The flavor profile is an orange and banana blend with notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla oak. There was even a hint of eggnog. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and last for quite a while. The Panel suggested drinking this Viognier with toasted coconut shrimp or chicken lo-mein.
