Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Fess Parker opens with a fragrant cola, oak and mild black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, juicy and silky. The flavor profile is an old oak infused plum with notes of black pepper. I also detected a hint of black raspberry in the background. The finish is dry and its mild acidity and fruit flavors linger for a while. This rustic styled Pinot would pair well with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: We began our clonal Pinot Noir program with the intent of isolating some of the very best individual lots in our cellar and capturing the nuances that each specific clone offers. This has remained a very small project - approximately twelve barrels of each wine - and delivers some of our finest expressions of Pinot Noir.
