Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot was a very close runner up in a mini-flight reviewed by the panel. It opens with a mild oak and gentle black cherry bouquet with hints of plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and loaded with ripe fruit. Those fruits flavors are a complex blend of plum, blackberry, black raspberry with nicely integrated old oak. The finish is dry and slightly prolonged. This solid effort would pair well with slow cooked beef brisket or veal marsala. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Scents of black cherry, raspberry, cinnamon and all spice combine with graham cracker, vanilla and sandalwood on the nose. Layers of black cherry, red currant and cranberry are enhanced by a touch of earth and minerals that are rounded out by vanilla and baking spices for a long lingering finish on the palate. Food Pairing: Exceptionally with roasted duck, filet mignon or grilled portobello mushrooms.
