Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored red blend opens with mild old oak and black currant bouquet with a hint of new leather and blueberry in the background. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and quite juicy. The flavor profile is ripe black currant with integrated old oak, tart black plum and a touch of coffee. The finish is dry and its mild dusty tannins linger for quite a while. This wine would pair well braised pork ribs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: With the Big Easy we wanted to pay homage to one of our favorite cities, a culinary mecca and great supporters of our wines, New Orleans. Notes of blackberry, plum, smoked meat, acacia flower, vanilla and pepper are found on the nose along with flavors of blueberry, blackberry, dark chocolate, black cherry, all spice & vanilla on the palate. Enjoy this meaty, well-structured blend to a long lengthy finish with its dense chocolaty tannins.
