Wine Review: This opaque and dark purple Syrah opens with a fragrant black currant bouquet with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with black currant flavors. There are also notes of blackberry and a heavy dose of black pepper. The finish is dry and its tannins are subtle. This wine would pair well with Theresa's meatloaf or big juicy Angus bacon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: With The Big Easy we wanted to pay homage to one of our favorite cities, a culinary mecca and great supporters of our wines, New Orleans. Still made from Camp Four fruit we are now incorporating other varietals along with Syrah. Notes of blueberry, blackberry, smoked meat, lavendar and vanilla found on the nose along with flavors of black cherry, blackberry compote, cinnamon and vanilla on the palate. Enjoy this meaty, well structured blend to a long lengthy finish with its dense chocolaty tannins.
