Wine Review: This yellow colored Chard opens with an inviting pear like bouquet with a hint of cantaloupe. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and nicely balanced between its fruit and gentle acidity. It is creamy as well. The flavor profile is a delicious blend of mild green melon, mango, and lemon with a hint of light oak. The finish is dry, tingly, and nicely refreshing. This Chard is very versatile would pair perfectly with Chicken St. Timothy. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2007 Alexander Valley Chardonnay is a delicious wine with floral and fruit aromas of orange blossom, citrus, pear, figs, green apple, and a hint of toasted marshmallow and caramel. Generous on the palate, creamy vanilla undertones balance layers of toast and spice on the finish. This wine is perfect with rich foods such as lobster, scallops and salmon, or chicken, pork, turkey and veal dishes. Creamier, more pungent flavored cheeses are also perfect with this Chardonnay.
