Wine Review: This Sangiovese based blend from Ferrari Carano is a deep and dark ruby color. It displays aromas of cherry and blackberry along with hints of blueberry and oak on the nose. On the palate, we found this wine to be medium bodied, juicy, smooth, and very well-balanced with gentle acidity. The flavors are similar to the nose. It features cherry, blackberry and blueberry. A light sweetness lingers towards the end before slowly drifting away. We would recommend drinking this wine on its own or with a pesto, prosciutto and artichoke pizza or with fettuccine alfredo with ham and peas. Enjoy! – Karen & Stuart

Winemaker Notes: Siena has delicious aromas of Zante currant, leather, toasty cedar and nutmeg spice that lead to flavors of sweet plum, vanilla and strawberry jam with mocha and cedar lingering on the finish. Siena has supple tannins and a balanced mouthfeel with lively elegance and depth. Siena pairs perfectly with savory Italian food, like pasta with flavorful tomato sauces or pizza.
