Wine Review: This bright yellow colored Chardonnay from Ferrari-Carano won our first Big Blind Chard Tasting. It opens with a very attractive bouquet featuring golden delicious apple, pear, grilled pineapple and marzipan aromas. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic, smooth and savory. Like the nose, the flavor profile is a very tasty Bosc pear and golden delicious apple blend with nicely integrated oak. We also detected hints of butterscotch. The finish is dry and it is nicely prolonged for a Chard. The Panel suggested they could drink a lot of this gem and they would pair it with crab cakes or conch chowder. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This is a delicious, full‐bodied Chardonnay with aromas and flavors of Meyer lemon, citrus, apple, graham cracker, creamy marshmallow, peach, apricot, pear, brown sugar and spice. Tre Terre is a wine with bright fruit, nice acidity and a long, lingering finish. This wine's rich fruit component complements mildly‐spiced vegetarian dishes and rich, creamy shellfish entrées. It also works well with veal, poultry, pasta and rice.
