Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Ferrari Carano opens with a pretty black cherry and mild pipe tobacco and blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, round and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is a tasty mild menthol and black cherry blend with notes of mocha and acai berry. I also detected hints of oak and cola. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins show nice length. While this Cab is not overly complex, it is refined enough to pair nicely with a prime rib over the next several years. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This full-bodied wine entices with captivating aromas of blackberry, cassis, graphite, and chocolate malt. Lush and full flavors of dark plums, black cherry, licorice, and cedar are layered with a solid structure of rich tannins. Our "Reserve" Cabernet Sauvignon pairs well with roasted game or with red meats such as lamb and beef.
