Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Merlot from Ferrari Carano is a very good value. It opens with a blackberry bouquet with hints of leather, clay pot and Oreo cookie. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, soft and velvety smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle black cherry and black plum blend with a notes of spice drop, oak and clove. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Merlot with a burger or bratwurst of the grill. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This is a velvety Merlot with a complex nose of cherry cola, cedar, vanilla and English toffee, followed by an enticing mouthfeel with flavors of plum, licorice, raspberry, mocha and cinnamon spice. This wine has impressive length and a lasting, elegant finish. The easy-drinking qualities of this Merlot make it the perfect wine to pair with any red meat course or Italian entrees.
