Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Ferrari Carano opens with a cherry cordial bouquet with hints of eucalyptus, violet, and plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with angular acidity. The flavor profile is a currant and stewed plum blend with notes of oak and menthol. We also detected some hints of strawberry licorice and espresso mixed in. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins build up and linger for a while. The Panel suggested pairing this wine with Hungarian goulash or English steak and ale pie. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Silky, elegant and vibrant with aromas of dried blueberry, dark plum, chocolate, toffee and a subtle hint of licorice leading to flavors of caramel, black cherry, pomegranate with a hint of molasses on the lingering finish. Pair with beef stew, filet mignon or a bacon maple cheeseburger.
