Wine Review: This deep yellow colored Chardonnay opens with a fragrant oak and Bartlett pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral infused pear with notes of with notes of butterscotch. I also detected hints of pineapple and oak. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This Chard is food friendly and it would pair well chicken, penne and broccoli with a light alfredo sauce. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This is not just a bottle of Chardonnay. This is actually 60 different individual Chardonnays blended into one. This is probably the most complex wine that we make, if you think about it that way. The 2015 Ferrari-Carano Chardonnay is full-bodied and refreshing. It boasts aromas of graham cracker, quince, lemons, orange blossoms, lychee, and white peaches perfectly balanced by flavors of Meyer lemon, pear and butter cream with a toasty vanilla finish. This versatile Chardonnay pairs perfectly with seafood, poultry, white meats and dishes with cream sauces.
