Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Anderson Valley is very good. It opens with a black raspberry and blueberry bouquet with a hint of pomegranate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a spicy plum with notes of blackberry and oak. I also detected a hint of cherry-cola. The finish is dry and mouthwatering as its acidity and flavors fade away. This Pinot would pair nicely with Hungarian goulash. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas and notes of cherry, raspberry, cola, spice and a touch of toast fill the senses, followed by vibrant flavors of complex red fruits and pomegranate with spice notes of cinnamon, cardamom and anise. Warm toast notes of graham cracker and pie crust persist on the soft finish. A velvety texture and bright acidity distinguish this naturally-balanced wine This wine pairs well with salmon, fowl and meat entrees like beef bourguignon or rack of lamb.
