Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cab-based blend from Ferrari Carano opens with a blueberry bouquet with hints of black tea, dark chocolate and anise. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty plum with notes of oak and black raspberry. I also detected some hints of black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate and well-managed tannins drift away nicely. This wine is food friendly and would pair well with a bow tie Bolognese. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Ferrari-Carano presents its finest blend of the five classic Bordeaux varietals, selected from exceptional vineyards blocks in Alexander, Napa, Dry Creek and Knights Valleys. Aptly named "Tresor" for "treasure." Vibrant aromas of cassis, plum and pomegranate combine with notes of olive, cedar, mocha and a subtle hint of smoke that lead to flavors of cherry and blueberry on the palate. Soft and elegant, Tresor flows seamlessly, adding extension to the lengthy finish.
