Wine Review: This pitch black colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Ferrari Carano is very good. It opens with black currant and oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and very juicy. The flavor is a black currant and blackberry blend with hints of oak and black cherry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins and flavors linger and last for a while. I would pair this Cab with a wild boar ragu served over a fresh fettuccini. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Vibrant with aromas and flavors of cassis, smoky cedar, mint, caramel, leather, juicy boysenberry jam, plum and toasty licorice. Velvety tannins, supple, long finish. Our Cabernet Sauvignon pairs well with roasted, broiled or barbecued game and red meats such as lamb and beef, as well as pork and veal.
