Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Chardonnay from Ferrari Carano was a top finisher in our first big blind tasting. It opens with a mild oak and gentle apple bouquet with hints of pineapple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is an oak influenced pear with hints of toasted marshmallow and butterscotch. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. The panel suggested pairing this very good Chard with lobster bisque. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Our 2012 Dominique Chardonnay (“"Dominique" is Rhonda Carano's middle name) is delicious with full, silky aromas and flavors of apple, maple, vanilla, marshmallow, peach, lemon, fig, butter and cream. Bright acidity complements the layers of intense aromas and flavors. A toasty finish further characterizes this beautiful wine. Dominique pairs well with pasta dishes made with cream, butter or cheese. Try with shrimp, scallops, lobster and other rich seafood.
