Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay from Ferrari Carano opens with a wet stone and fragrant lemon bouquet with hints of banana and pineapple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, crisp and lively. The flavor profile is lemon with notes of banana, mild oak and apple mixed in. The finish is dry and its fresh fruit flavors linger after the wine is gone. This fresh styled Chardonnay would pair perfectly with shrimp scampi. Enjoy- Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2011 Ferrari-Carano Chardonnay from Sonoma County has superior lots of wine from our vineyards in Alexander Valley, Russian River Valley, Carneros and Dry Creek Valley. This full-bodied Chardonnay boasts aromas of baked apple, marshmallow, pear, citrus and a hint of graham cracker, perfectly balanced by flavors of Fuji apple, lemon, vanilla and lingering, creamy toasted oak notes. This versatile, full-bodied Chardonnay pairs perfectly with seafood, poultry, white meats and dishes with cream sauces.
