Wine Review: This opaque ruby red colored Merlot opens with a very mild red raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and rather smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty cherry and gentle plum blend. The finish is dry and its fine tannins linger slightly. This very friendly Merlot is a true quaffer. While it is not the most complex wine; most readers would not hesitate asking for a second glass. It would pair well with many foods. I would pick pork tenderloin. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This is a velvety wine with a complex nose of cinnamon candy, cherry cola, blackberry preserves, and exotic spices. A juicy, slightly viscous and rich mouthfeel is followed by notes of bittersweet chocolate, mocha and tobacco. This wine has full, generous tannins that coat the palate, impressive length and lasting acidity. The easy drinking qualities of our Merlot make it the perfect wine to pair with any red meat course, Italian entree, and roasted or grilled fragrantly-spiced poultry dishes.
