Wine Review: This Chard will appeal to readers who like aged white wines. It is goldenrod colored and opens with a mild mango bouquet with a touch of vanilla and tangerine. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced, yet crisp. The flavor profile is a honey nut and pear with a touch of butterscotch and oak. The finish is dry and its light oak flavors linger in the aftertaste. The panel suggested pairing this wine with chicken ravioli with a wild mushroom cream sauce. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The grapes for our 2007 Reserve Chardonnay come primarily from Ferrari-Carano's vineyard in the Napa Valley Carneros appellation. Comprised of three Chardonnay clones, this wine has lush fig, apple, graham cracker, and hazelnut aromas with delicious caramel, pear, mango, and toasty oak flavors with a creamy, buttery finish. The cool climate of Napa Valley Carneros and Russian River Valley imparts its unique delicacy and finesse to the wine, while the Alexander Valley component adds an intensely rich mouth-filling character.
