Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet from Washington State opens with a black currant and blackberry bouquet with hints of old vanilla-oak and Swedish Fish. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle oak influenced black currant with hints of plum and minerality. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins are sticky and linger nicely. The panel suggested pairing this Cab with beef bourguignon or braised short ribs. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Impressive for its intensity and elegance, the 2008 Feather offers generous aromas of ripe blueberries, black fruit and mocha with smoky notes of cedar and tobacco. A complex palate of dark plum, cherry, clove and licorice glides smoothly over refined tannins and creamy oak nuances.
